Everything started 25 years ago. The founders, Florence and Thibault, were having “Ballekes”, the traditional belgian meatballs, at their grandparents. When they got married in 2012, they followed their passion and started a restaurant in Brussels: ‘t Bolleke. They absolutely wanted to share the meatballs recipes they inherited from their grandmothers and people really liked it !

Florence and Thibault started to believe they could change the world with their meatballs. They are aware that today it’s hard to find good and honest food for a good price. That’s exactly what Ballekes stand for. Her mission is to promote and perpetuate the tradition of good and simple Belgian food made of local and organic ingredients. In 2015, they started working on the idea of creating a cool place where everyone could enjoy a Belgo-belgian experience.
